CodePen Fork

CodePen offers a great way to learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript. When you "fork" or export a pen, you can copy it to your CodePen account or download it to your computer. In this unit, you'll experiment with forking and exporting and make some changes to the project.

To fork a pen

1. Open CodePen and log in.
2. Find a pen that you like and that looks like you can work with the code.
3. To fork it:
   • Click Fork at the bottom of the screen. CodePen will tell the pen has been forked. Click Your Work to see it there.
   • Or you can click Export at the bottom of the screen, and select Export.zip. The pen will show up in your Downloads folder.

Complete This Unit

1. To zip and send your Flare project, click Project > Zip Project > Zip and Email Project. Make sure that your zip caintains all of the relevant files such .html, .css, and .js—whichever ones you used in your project.
2. Send to admin@mcmassociates.io (use this link).
